VOLUNTEER AT THE OYSTER ROAST

The St. Simons Land Trust’s Annual Oyster Roast will take place on February 20, 2027, from 4:30 – 7:30 PM, and we need helping hands to make it a success! Whether it’s welcoming guests, serving oysters or helping with setup and cleanup, there’s a role for you.

Spend time with friends, meet new neighbors, and help protect the island we love at this iconic Golden Isles event.

The Oyster Roast couldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers.

The Oyster Roast has always been a celebration of community. In 2026, over 90 dedicated volunteers helped make the event run smoothly and efficiently.

A record-breaking amount of funds were raised to directly support the Land Trust’s mission of protecting and preserving environmentally and culturally significant land on St. Simons.

From check-in to last call, the event reflected the deep commitment Land Trust volunteers have to conservation.
